Hyundai Motors India Ltd. (HMIL) roars out a price hike of 3% for its popular hatchback Grand i10 in India. This revised price hike can be seen rising in the Hyundai motor industry from August 2018. This announcement held with a press making up the statement on 17 July. This never hiking company on its other model set the price hike due to increase in input and material cost. Currently, the Grand i10 ranges between 4.74 to 7.51 lakh, but due to the non-announcement of the variant wise price details, the expected variant hike will be up to 14,000 to 23000.
The Grand i10 avails with the option of 1.2 liter Kappa Dual VT petrol engine with 5-speed manual and 4-speed auto transmission gearbox, and 1.2 liter U2 CRDi diesel engine with 5-speed manual gearbox. Also, the petrol engine has a max power of 83PS with a 114 Nm of max torque, whereas the diesel engine makes up the max power of 75PS at 4,000 rpm with a 190 Nm of peak torque at 1,750 to 2250 rpm. However, the Grand i10 played a crucial role in driving the sales volumes, but then also they are gearing up for the new launch around the Diwali next year. A statement from the Managing Director and CEO of HMIL gives a broad understanding of the return back of the Santro brand in the Indian market. It also said that the brand new look of Hyundai Santro takes the styling inspiration from the Grand i10 in some areas such as the swept back design of headlamp, its grille design as well as the window line has been similarly inspired. Due to the driving volume of sales, such a hike difference doesn’t make an impact on Hyundai Grand i10 sale in India.
